After working for many years in the tourism industry, our managing director, encountered a life changing situation.
In 2014, when he was waiting for guests at the airport, he saw these guests who upon arrival were smiling and very eager to explore the beauty of the land of a thousand hills, but the person who had come to meet them was only looking forward to transferring them to their hotel. This representative didn't consider guests as guests but instead, he considered them as clients with whom he only needed to give them the service they had paid for. He didn't want to go that extra mile. He didn’t interact with them, ask them how their flight was, introduce them to the new country…, Friendliness can go a long way. People are usually travelling to places they have never been and eager to know what is lying ahead for them, some can be even scared. This is the reason why it is very crucial that we receive them with care and understand that they are not home. Care for them and make them feel welcome, make them feel part of a new family.
