Day 1: Arrival 

 

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, after completion of customs and immigration formalities you will be met at the airport by LIFETIME AFRICA EXPEDITIONS representative, and introduction to your Safari driver guide. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will be given a detailed briefing on your safari. Check in at your Kampala Hotel for your overnight.

 

Day 2: Kampala - Murchison Falls via the Infamous Luwero triangle and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

 

Early breakfast at your hotel and en-route to the Northern Part of Uganda. On your way, you will pass by the infamous Luwero Triangle to Masindi Busingiro Royal Miles for bird watching.

Have your Lunch at Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary, view of the white Rhinos then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

Murchison Falls National Park is the narrowest point of the river Nile, which is only 7 meters width and 40 meters high. In the evening, check in at your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

 

Day 3: Boat trip and top of the Falls, Nature walk to the top of the falls and Afternoon Game drive

 

Have breakfast at the lodge, thereafter proceed for a boat ride to the bottom of the falls, you can also choose to either hike or drive to the top of the falls whereby you will be having a spectacular view of the thundering Murchison Falls. Have Lunch at the lodge, thereafter proceed with a game drive, this is another adventurous activity where you will be able to encounter a number of animals.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 4: Murchison - Kibale National Park

 

Early morning breakfast,

AM boat trip along Lake Albert.

Depart with packed lunch and drive to Kibale National Park.

Upon arrival, you will check-in at your hotel for overnight.

 

Day 5: Chimps habituation in Kibale National Forest

 

Have breakfast at your lodge.

Early morning transfer to Kibale National Forest for registration. Kibale Forest is one of the biggest forests in Uganda which is a habitat for more than 1,000 Chimpanzee. Chimps habituation starts early in the morning when they are waking up and you will follow them through their daily activity.

Have packed lunch while tracking.

Day 6: Chimps trekking in Kibale National Forest – PM transfer to Queen Elizabeth

 

Have breakfast at your lodge.

Morning transfer to Kibale National Forest for registration.

Chimpanzee tracking starts at 8am and takes 3-4 hours depending on where they are located. Enjoy observing the closest creature to human.

Have Lunch at your lodge.

Thereafter drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is the second largest national park in Uganda. 95 species of mammal and 547 species of bird has been recorded. Altitude is as low as between 900m to 1,000m which makes it warmer than other areas. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

Day 7: Morning Game drive in Ishasha and afternoon boat trip along Kazinga Channel

 

Breakfast at your lodge.

Thereafter drive through the vast savannah and look for your favorite animals, with the help of an experienced park ranger. In this Savannah, this is where the famous tree climbing lions can be found.

Have Lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, you will do a boat trip along Kazinga Channel which leads the flow from Lake George to Lake Edward which originates from Rwenzori. This channel has a rich ecosystem and is a habitat for Hippos, Crocodiles, and so many water birds like Pelicans, Storks, Herons, Kingfishers, etc.

Dinner and overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

 

Day 8: Second Game drive in Ishasha and afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

 

Breakfast at your lodge.

Morning game drive to capture any missed animal while you were doing the first game drive.

Thereafter drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lunch at your lodge in Bwindi.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the smallest National Park in Uganda, it is famous for its

mountain gorillas. It has a rich ecosystem, 95 mammal species and 345 bird species have been

recorded.

In the afternoon, you will pay a visit to the Batwa cultural community. You will learn more on how they

live their daily lives.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

 

Early breakfast at your lodge.

Early morning transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Registration where the park staff determines which group of gorillas you will visit

The park staff discusses your fitness level and advises you of the trekking times and conditions to the various groups based upon their location in the park the previous evening.

Once the trekkers are put into groups, each group’s Lead Guide briefs the trekkers of the trekking procedures as well as the “do’s and don’ts” while in the presence of gorillas.

After the briefing, trekkers return to their respective vehicles for the drive up the mountain to the

starting point.

Trekking can take from two to six or more hours if the gorillas move before the park rangers locate them the next morning. The guides stop frequently to allow trekkers a chance to rest and take photos along the way.

After Lunch, if time permits you will have a visit to the Batwa Community or do a village walk.

 

Dinner and overnight at your Bwindi Lodge.

 

Day 10: Bwindi - Lake Bunyonyi National Park

 

Have breakfast at your lodge.

Thereafter drive to Lake Bunyonyi National Park, upon arrival you will check in at your lodge.

Lake Bunyonyi is in the South-western of Uganda where you will have a fascinating bird life with beautiful sceneries surrounding the second deepest lake in Africa.

After lunch, you will have a full adventure of birdlife.

Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

 

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi National Park - Lake Mburo National Park

 

Breakfast at your lodge.

Thereafter drive to Lake Mburo National Park arrive in time for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park which is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 12: Lake Mburo– Equator - Kampala

 

Have breakfast at your lodge.

Morning game drive while saying goodbye to Lake Mburo National Park.

Thereafter drive to Kampala, on the way you will have a stop over to the famous Equator line.

Have lunch on the way, thereafter proceed to Kampala.

Overnight in Kampala.

 

Day 13: Kampala – Entebbe Airport

 

Have a leisure breakfast at your lodge,

Thereafter be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.

If time is still on your side depending on your departure flight, you can choose to visit the Ngamba Islands whereby you can participate in feeding the Chimpanzee OR you can choose to visit the botanical gardens.
